    Research Study for Pregnant Women Before Amniocentesis or CVS

    This study will consist of a blood test which, in the future, might replace current prenatal screening tests and potentially reduce the need for more invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.

    What is required to participate?

    If you agree to participate, you will be asked to provide a single blood sample BEFORE any genetic testing is done. (You will not receive the results of your blood test).

    Am I eligible?

    If you meet the following criteria, then you may be eligible to participate in this important study

    • You are pregnant and between 8 to 22 weeks gestation

    • You are at least 18 years of age

    • You will be having an amniocentesis or CVS procedure AFTER the blood draw.
