Sukyung Chung, Ph.D.
Sukyung Chung, Ph.D., is an assistant investigator at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s Research Institute (PAMFRI). Dr. Chung’s primary research interest is physician payment. She is a recent recipient of a Career Development Award (K01) from the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality. Her study, “Measuring and Compensating Primary Care Physician Work,” employs mixed methods to examine the scope of primary care physician (PCP) work — both during and outside office visit encounters — and how this work relates to billing and physician compensation.
