Facilities
The Facilities Department provides a wide range of services in support of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) Research Institute. The Department’s responsibilities include the day-to-day building maintenance of the Research Institute facility in Palo Alto as well as laboratory equipment design, fabrication and calibration.
Building Maintenance
- Overseeing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Managing security systems
- Maintaining all laboratory equipment, ranging from incubators to liquid nitrogen storage containers
- Janitorial services
- Laundry and glass washing services

Laboratory Equipment Maintenance and Calibration
The Facilities Department maintains and calibrates all building systems and equipment. The Department also has the machine and woodworking fabrication expertise to custom build many items used at the Research Institute.
In addition, the department is responsible for construction projects, ranging from remodeling labs and office spaces to installing equipment.
