Core Support Services

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) Research Institute provides a range of core support services to its researchers. This includes desktop Information Technology (IT) support and data back-up services, financial management services, Institutional Review Board (IRB) and regulatory compliance support, facilities support, and data access and analysis services.

Two important areas of support include:

• Institutional Review Board : All research involving PAMF patients or undertaken by PAMF Research Institute investigators must be reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure the research complies with regulations protecting the rights and welfare of human research subjects.
  
  
• Data Access and Analysis - As part of its core functions, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) Research Institute supports access to PAMF data and offers data analysis services for both its investigators and others at PAMF.
