Joseph Franks, M.D.

Dr. Franks received his medical degree at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles in 1996, where he graduated with highest honors. He completed his internship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and residencies in both surgery and urology at UCSF.

Dr. Franks specializes in minimally invasive surgery, applying endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic techniques to optimize surgical outcomes. He is a member of the Santa Cruz Medical Society, American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, California Medical Society, American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Endourological Society and the Pteron Society. He speaks basic Spanish.
