Meet the CAC
Linda Drew
Linda Drew has been a resident of San Carlos since 1986. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in human biodynamics. Currently, she is the gala chairperson of the Peninsula Volunteers' main fundraising event for 2005.
She is co-founder of California Network of Educational Charters. She also founded Vista Park in San Carlos; the San Carlos summer reading program; and San Carlos' Superbowl Saturday, a parent education day.
She was the PTA president and a member of the PTA Coordinating Council for Central Middle and Heather Elementary schools. She served on the steering committee for the San Carlos library bond and school bond measures. She is past president of San Carlos Little League and a former AYSO board member. She also coached Little League, AYSO girls' and boys' soccer and girls' softball. She is a past San Carlos Citizen of the Year.
She and her husband, Chuck, a group vice president for Siebel Systems have been married for 27 years and have two children, Chris and Allie.
Linda's hobbies include gardening, open salt collecting, travel and Bunco.
"One of the things I know the Palo Alto Medical Foundation focuses on is community education. They're very active working with the schools in Palo Alto. I know they plan to be extremely active and proactive in working with the schools in San Carlos."
