Meet the CAC
Fred Koehler
Fred Koehler has been a resident of San Carlos for 11 years. He was a founding executive of CPI and served as president of CPI/Eimac for almost a decade, before fully retiring in 2001. Previously, he held engineering and general management positions at IBM, Ampex, Xerox and Memorex. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and has a master's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University.
He is a past member of the Harbor Industrial Association and served on the East Side Plan Citizens Advisory Committee. He has served and chaired business school advisory boards at Santa Clara University and Loyola Marymount University. He chaired the Bay Area Council of the American Electronics Association and served on their national board of directors. He has also chaired the San Mateo County Special Olympics "Walk For Gold."
Currently, Fred chairs the San Mateo County Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board and is on the board of directors of the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce, chairing their Government Affairs Council. He is a volunteer deputy sheriff as a member of the Sheriff's Air Squadron.
Fred and his wife, Bunny, who volunteers at the San Carlos Library, have four sons and six grandchildren. They are active in St. Charles Catholic Church. They have lived in many parts of the country and have traveled extensively throughout the world. Both enjoy flying and participating in Angel Flight missions.
