The Palo Alto Medical Foundation's nationally recognized Sports Medicine Department focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of injuries associated with athletic participation. The department includes several full-time, board-certified orthopedic surgeons, as well as a pediatrician/adolescent sports medicine specialist and sports podiatrist. Our physicians have extensive experience treating athletes of all levels, from professional to recreational.

We serve as team doctors for many Bay Area sports teams, including the San Jose Sharks, Oakland Raiders and San Jose Earthquakes (formerly Clash), and as orthopedic consultants for the San Francisco Giants. Several Stanford University athletic teams and many local high schools and colleges receive care from PAMF Sports Medicine physicians and staff members, as do thousands of recreational athletes throughout the area.

For athletes of all levels, from recreational to professional, our goal is to provide the highest quality care and to return the athlete to his or her desired activities as soon as possible.
