The Medical Staff of the Surgecenter
The key to the Surgecenter's quality patient care is its exceptionally dedicated, highly trained and friendly staff. Everyone, whether in a clinical or administrative capacity, works together as a team to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of its patients and their families.
The Surgecenter is managed by Cypress Healthcare Partners, Medical Director John Cooper, M.D.; Margo Mynderse-Isola, CEO.
The clinical and administrative care team includes registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, surgical technologists and administrative staff. This team works closely with the patient's physician and anesthesiologist to provide an individualized plan of care for him or her.
When the patient's care requires an anesthesiologist, the patient will be attended by one of a group of Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) anesthesiologists who also provide anesthesia services at Stanford University Hospital and other nearby hospitals.
Currently, more than 100 board-certified physicians have privileges at the Surgecenter, 85% of whom are PAMF medical staff members with offices conveniently located in the same building. In total, they represent more than nine specialties and perform more than 6,000 procedures annually at the Surgecenter.
Common among those procedures are diagnostic and operative gastroenterology, knee arthroscopy, breast biopsy, gynecological procedures, pediatric ear tube insertion, cosmetic surgery, bunion removals and many others.
Patients are welcome to review a listing of accredited physicians by specialty currently with privileges at the Surgecenter.
From the patient's first contact with the Surgecenter registrar to a follow-up phone call from a nurse after a procedure, the Surgecenter hopes patients will be pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of everyone they meet at the Surgecenter.
