Modernizing the Sunnyvale Center
The Palo Alto Medical Foundation, which includes the former Camino Medical Group, established a medical presence in Sunnyvale more than 55 years ago. After five decades, it's time to modernize and bring the facility up to date.
At its Tuesday, June 23 meeting, the Sunnyvale City Council approved plans for Palo Alto Medical Foundation's (PAMF) new medical center to be built in Sunnyvale. This affirmative vote followed unanimous approval of the project by the Sunnyvale Planning Commission on June 8. The Council placed several conditions on this approval, most of which are intended to address concerns about traffic, neighborhood privacy and pedestrian safety.
We sincerely thank those of you who attended these city meetings, wrote letters and e-mails of support to the Council and Commission, and signed petitions in favor of the project. We look forward to seeing you at a grand opening of the new medical center in 2012.
The modernized medical center in Sunnyvale will house:
- Primary Care for adults, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Pediatric Care
- Cancer Care Center
- Modern radiology and digital imaging department
- Complete laboratory services
