    Food and the Environment

Have you ever thought about the food on your dinner plate? Not about whether it tastes good or whether it is what you are hungry for, but really thought about what it is and where it came from? Do you wonder whether it’s good for you and the world around you?

Even when you eat a healthy diet, keeping the candy bars and potato chips to a minimum, dangers lurk in your food. Did you know that vegetables and fish can contain hazardous materials?

That doesn’t mean you should never eat a vegetable again. That might be even worse than eating a bad vegetable! Just be aware of where your food is coming from and what you are putting in your body. Make healthy choices for both your body and your environment because a healthy environment means a healthy you!

Find out how making smart choices in the foods that you eat can help you and the world around you:
