Urinary Tract Infections

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are caused by bacteria growing in the bladder, kidneys, ureters or urethra. It is condition more common in women but men can also have a UTI.

Symptoms can include:

  • Painful urination
  • Needing to urinate frequently
  • Urine smelling bad
  • Cloudy, reddish or pinkish urine
  • Fever, chills or nausea

Since other diseases like sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can have the same symptoms, it is important that you go to your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
