    Why Eat Smart?

Maintaining a healthy diet means you'll look and feel better. Your skin, hair and weight may all improve. You'll be stronger and think more clearly. You may even perform better in sports and get better grades. You'll be less likely to get depressed or stressed. Below are simple tips for eating right.

Eating right helps you look better, feel better and stay healthier. Below are simple tips for eating right.

    • Eat regular meals -- especially breakfast. This keeps your body fueled so you won't crave junk foods and gives you energy for the day.

    • Eat a variety of foods. Try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables (at least five a day) as well as grains, dairy and protein.

    • Cut down on high fat and high sugar foods. You don't have to give up cookies or cheeseburgers. Just eat them less and eat healthy snacks too. Try having fruit and popcorn instead of cookies and ice cream. Drink fruit juice instead of soda.
