What Affects the Test
Reasons you may not be able to have the test or why the results may not be helpful include:
- Stool, air (or other gas), or Reference contrast material Opens New Window (such as barium) in the stomach or intestines.
- Not being able to remain still during the test.
- Extreme Reference obesity Opens New Window.
- Having an open or bandaged wound in the area being viewed.
