Sunlight and acne
People who think that sunlight cures acne may damage their skin by spending too much time out in the sun or under a sunlamp. Ultraviolet rays from the sun or a sunlamp may:
- Dry your skin. When your skin becomes dry, pores turn out more oil, making acne worse.
- Increase your risk of skin cancer.
- Cause early aging and wrinkles.
