Gestational Diabetes: Target Blood Sugar Levels

It is important to keep your blood sugar levels in a healthy range during your pregnancy.

Note: If you have gestational diabetes, you may experience weakness, sweating, and hunger if your blood sugar level drops below 70 mg/dL. These are symptoms of Reference hypoglycemia Opens New Window (low blood sugar), which can be serious if it is not treated. As soon as these symptoms develop, eat some food that contains sugar to raise your blood sugar level.
