    Mood and Personality Disorders

We define ourselves by how we think, feel and behave. We may refer to ourselves as outgoing, funny, shy, artsy and/or smart. Everyone has quirks, bad days and situations that irritate them. Sometimes, these quirks and pet peeves turn into behavior that is chronically inflexible, dysfunctional and antisocial. People with these traits may have a mood or personality disorder. Examples of mood and personality disorders include:

    • Bipolar disorder
    • Borderline personality disorder
    • Conduct disorder
