Everyone always looked down on Ryan McKenzie. He always got in trouble at school and at home, and had basically no friends besides Taylor, his brainiac twin sister, and Ellis, his scrawny best friend. Nothing ever seemed to work out right for Ryan, until one fateful morning, when he found a trove of special alien disks in the woods. When used, the disks can give any human the abilities of any past earth legend, such as Babe Ruth, Einstein, and many, many more. Once Ryan learns how to use the disks to his advantage, his life starts to turn around, as he gains respect from everyone who previously thought nothing of him—his teachers, his peers, and most importantly, his dad.
Flip is an excellent choice for any preteen reader with an active imagination, and perhaps a curiosity about the extra terrestrial.
