Summer Wellness Education and Training for Teens (SWEAT) Institute
Teens participating in the annual SWEAT program learn about teen health, participate in activities, and also take what they learn and develop and implement a project in their community.
Previous projects have included teaching lessons about media awareness and body image to middle school youth, improving athletic performance with improved hydration and nutrition, improving high school student sleep patterns, the development of a Vitality Club at James Logan High School (by Christopher Phan and Brian Woo), and a video about exercise to avoid strains and sprains (see below) (by Anushka Das).
SWEAT is not being offered this summer, 2015.
