If you are planning an international trip, one of the best places to start is by looking at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Web site on travel: http://www.cdc.gov/travel/. The site has a number of excellent references to help prepare you for your trip.
- Yellow Book: The Yellow Book is published every two years by the CDC as a reference for those who advise international travelers about health risks.
- Travel Notices: There are no Travel Health Warnings or Travel Health Precautions currently in effect.
- Destinations: Use the map or scroll down to the A-Z list of countries below to select a destination and get travel health information for that location.
- Vaccinations: Simply looking for which vaccinations you need for your trip? Find the country or countries you plan to visit on the list of destinations.
Remember to plan ahead!
Some vaccinations require more than one injection or trip to the doctor's office. Making an appointment for an early for a consultation is an important first step in being protected for the big trip you are planning to take.
