The sleeve gastrectomy (vertical gastrectomy) is a restrictive weight loss sugery procedure. It causes weight loss by restricting the amount of food you can consume before feeling full.

During this procedure, the surgeon isolates a small sleeve-shaped section of the stomach for processing food, drastically limiting its capacity.
