Orientation
To get started, you will first attend a free orientation session with a weight loss surgeon and dietitian, where you can begin to determine if weight loss surgery is right for you and if you're ready to commit to the lifestyle changes necessary for weight loss success.
This highly informative session is led by a bariatric surgeon, registered dietitian and behaviorist to help you evaluate whether this life-changing surgery is appropriate for you. Learn about the different types of surgeries available, who is eligible for each surgery, and how your diet and
lifestyle will change in order to support safe and effective weight loss. In addition, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and hear from a current patient in our program about his or her experiences with weight loss surgery and lifestyle changes.
Patients entering the Bariatric Surgery Program are required to take this class twice. There is so much information to learn that we find patients are better prepared to talk with their surgeons when they attend two sessions.
