Weight Loss Surgery Procedure

Before your weight loss surgery, you will:

  1. Attend a free orientation about bariatric surgery at Camino Medical Group. The orientation is highly informative, and we strongly suggest you prepare to get the most out of it by studying the information on our Web site, looking up more information on the Web sites listed below, and making a list of questions you would like us to answer at the orientation. Call 650-404-8400 to schedule your orientation.
  2. Then comes a personal consultation with our surgeon, Dr. Prithvi Legha, to evaluate whether this operation is appropriate for you and to plan any further consultations, evaluations and preparations needed to ensure your readiness for this life-changing surgery.
  3. After you have attended the orientation, met with Dr. Legha and are interested in pursuing the possibility of surgery, we will schedule an appointment for your individual evaluation and instruction with our Registered Dietitian specialized in the nutritional and lifestyle aspects of bariatric surgery.
  4. Dr. Legha will ask our program coordinator, Susan Nachshen, to work with you on insurance coverage and approval, and coordinate all necessary preparations for successful surgery.
