The decision to have weight loss surgery involves significant lifestyle changes including diet, fitness and emotional well-being.

The goal of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's (PAMF) weight loss surgery program is to give patients the tools they need to help them lose weight rapidly and healthily. However, PAMF cannot guarantee each patient will lose a specific number of pounds or reach a target weight. It is the patient's personal responsibility to follow the diet and exercise guidelines presented in the program.

Questions about the exercise and/or diet guidelines should be directed to a member of the medical team.
