    Weight Loss Surgery Program:
    Redwood City Center

The Weight Loss Surgery Program at the PAMF Redwood City Center emphasizes that ultimate, long-term success is achieved by providing high-quality, expert preoperative and postoperative care in a compassionate, caring and supportive environment. This framework for success has at its core a surgical procedure that is performed with great skill and expertise by such a specialist as Dr. Feng.

Our experienced team is here to provide coordinated care to help maximize health and safety along with this success through expert nutritional counseling and behavioral health support.

In addition to providing patients with our comprehensive before and after surgery to study in the comfort of their own homes, we provide access to support group meetings both at Sequoia Hospital (on the first Wednesday evening of every month, lead by Dr. Feng) as well as at the Palo Alto Center only minutes away (on the last Tuesday evening of every month, lead by a postop patient) .

Our weight loss surgery program includes the following components:

    • Several weight loss surgery options:
      • Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
      • Adjustable Gastric Band Placement (LAP-BAND® System)
      • Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
      • Duodenal Switch
    • Care coordination throughout the program by the Bariatric Surgery Program Coordinator
    • Nutritional evaluation, education and counseling with Bi-monthly shared medical appointment in a support group atmosphere
    • Exercise program guidelines
    • Psychological evaluation and individual therapy as needed
    • Monthly support group meetings (both physician-led and patient-led)
